Whose Child Am I?

Oh' God you know how little faith I sometimes have. I forget time and again that you have given me everything. I strive for things and achievements, not out of love, but out of superficial need. I walk so independent of You and yet You never leave.

You are everywhere.

At times I do not feel You; moments when I willfully block off your love. I deny that you are real, that you are in me, yet nothing can be farther from the truth.

You are in me, over me.

You are in the trees..
in the wind...
in the blue and white of the sky...
in the flowers...
in the creatures that bark and meow and coo and caw' and chirp and more....
You are in the waves and ripples and bubbles, in the smiles and frowns and giggles and conversations and hugs of family and friends. You are even in the stranger out in the street.

You are kindness.
You are hope.
You are strength.

Who am I to deny that You have made me in your image and likeness...

I am Your child,
I often fail to see.

I am Abundant

I am abundant!

I have everything I need.
I am in want of nothing.

What comes to me is what is most needed at the right time.
I need not worry.

For this, I thank You, God.

I thank you for the strength that I have...
for the ability to perceive..
to understand...
to hear...
to move..
to speak...

and most importantly...

to breath.
